My name is Beth. I am an Integrative-Holistic Play Therapist based in East Oxford, and registered with Play Therapy UK.
I provide therapeutic support to children and their families within Oxford and the surrounding area.
I have a background in primary education as a Primary School Teacher, Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities Coordinator and school Inclusion Lead.
Throughout my career, I have been incorporating play into the way that I work with children and families in school, especially with children who have experienced adverse experiences in early childhood. Now, as a qualified play therapist, I actively weave together my knowledge and understanding of education, special educational needs and therapeutic approaches to enable an inclusive and affirming experience for each child.

How we can work together
-
I enjoy working closely with parents and carers as part of the therapeutic process. You know your child best and it is from you that I can learn about what makes your child a unique and special person!
At the start of an episode of play therapy, I meet with you to hear about what makes your child smile, what feels difficult for your child right now and what might be happening for your child that resulted in the decision that play therapy may be useful to your child at this time.
We meet again midway and at the end of the episode to review your child’s progress. I seek to draw on my professional knowledge and understanding of your child to provide recommendations to strengthen and affirm your skills as a parent.
